Been at Awe at Banaue

Beautiful, beautiful place. Beats me to think about the ingenuity and labor of the people who built it some 2,000 years ago. The Banaue Rice Terraces was declared a national heritage in 1995, which explains why I grew up in the fervor of appreciation for this site. I saw it in photos. I learned about it in elementary books. And I swore someday, I'm going to see it with my own eyes. (((Of course I never in my life expected I would slip, fall down the terraces, and injure myself but that just makes the experience most memorable, I suppose)))
